just something stupid because i've been busy...

(adapted from The Wyoming Art's Council's blog)

How to know you're in Wyoming:

You wake up to a beautiful 80 degree day and wonder if it's going to snow later.

You say 'the interstate' and everybody knows which one.

Directions are either toward the mountains or away from the mountains.

UPS and Fedex don't deliver (at least not to my house).

Deer outnumber people.

Saturn wants to tow your car out of state for repairs.

A bear on your front porch doesn't bother you.

The 2 seasons are 9 months of winter and 3 months of relatives.

Restrooms are optional.

Kids plan their Halloween costumes around their snowsuits.

Antelope have the right-of-way

and

when people out East tell you they have mountains in their state, you just laugh.

Cute! Love the Halloween costume bit.

I've made my blog private for a bit... sent an invite to the email I have for you. Hope you will still visit sometimes.

Hey Tara,
will you send me another invite to onesmallsquare@gmail.com so I can keep reading? Thanks!

Sounds great, except the 2 seasons part:-(

Good to hear you've been busy. Hopefully it's a good kind of busy.

Hey Anet!
It's the good kind now. I was glad to see Autumn posted that your Mom hasn't declined too much. Sounds like you guys are going to have a great end of the month with everyone there for her birthday! Hope you are well and give Noah a Christmas hug from me. :)

Love the photo! I've always wanted to visit that part of the country. I use to fantasize about having a ranch in Wyoming or Montana.

Hi Sandy!
It is beautiful here (well, at least northern Wyoming is) but we sorely lack the abundance of culture that you guys have. Not to mention your great weather!

Hey Amy,
after reading your thoughts about North Dakota I think you would love it here. And I think you are right about the area being almost completely populated with aspies! :)

Dear Sharon,

I wanted to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas!
I will be sure to give Noah that Christmas hug from you:)

Bittersweet Christmas coming for us... we know it's our last with grandma. We're doing all we can to make it a special one.
The day after Christmas we're having a surprise birthday party for my mom too. She hasn't a clue:)
Also, Autumn is taking her on a sleigh ride on New Years. (One of my mom's "wishes" she could do items on her list.) She's still painting up a storm. I can't believe how she's taking to her new hobby.

Hi Anet! I hope your weekend is filled with lots of beautiful and cherished memories with your Mom. I think I have missed someone truly special for never having known her. Sweet, loving, holidays to all of you in Michigan!

Thanks so much Sandy. I think I'm going to be happy to have things slow down for a little while! Merry Christmas to you!!!
