Dental Work Causes Stroke

An alarmist title???
Yeah probably, but Larry quite unexpectedly suffered a stroke last month just 3 weeks after extensive dental work. Coincidence? I doubt it. A word of precaution from his dentist might have saved us a lot of suffering. So might some antibiotics or a recommendation to take aspirin or some other anti inflammatory. We went in to the dentist  thinking that the only consequence would be a fairly large dent in our bank account but one of the first questions the doctors asked us in the emergency room after his stroke was had he had any dental work done recently. That red flag has been meandering around the back of my brain ever since...

the annual love walk...

364 days out of the year Kitara and Moonbeam meander peacefully around the yard. They're usually pretty good about staying home but once a year their hormones get the better of them and they go looking for love. Today was that day. Personally I'd have preferred they'd waited since Larry and I were enjoying a quiet Sunday free of therapy, medical appointments, and other obligations. In fact we'd just settled down for the nicest of afternoon nap's when John came by to tell us they were walking the streets. Usually when they stray they're nearby and I can guide them home but today they managed to get themselves quite a ways away, and to make matters worse they took Loose (another goose) and Elly (a duck) with them. So, long story short, we all took a ride. And in case you were wondering, 3 geese, 2 humans, and a duck fit quite comfortably in a Rav4 as long as you don't mind cleaning it up afterwards.
Thank you John!

P.S.
Larry is doing fantastic. While he can't walk unassisted yet he can do just about everything else on his own. He's already regained the ability to write and it's only been a month!

threes

18 days ago my husband suffered a stroke.
Luckily we expect him to walk again soon, and our lives to return to normal.

A week after Larry's stroke my mother became deathly ill while on vacation. She's not well and my father and sister are still trapped in Arizona trying to find a way to get her back to Michigan.
It's kind of a mess.

If bad luck comes in threes
we have yet another shoe to drop.
I hope it doesn't.

Still there is always a bigger picture, a larger good.
Thanks Sandy for posting this, it's what it's all about.
