Holy Smoke! ~ real art in a Walmart World

I found Helen Thompson's work through Pinterest and am floored and inspired by it. She's definitely worth taking a look at.

Very cute! I love seeing something unique like this.

but don't get me looking at Pinterest... I'll be there for hours!

I had never heard of Pinterest until you mentioned it on your blog. I tried looking you up there so I could follow you but got nothing when I searched your name.

Yeah, I just browse around. I haven't joined yet.
Autumn has some of her photos on there. Which I didn't know until I stumbled across one.

My heart did a little jump when her homepage loaded. So fragile and earthy, love the tones and deconstructed aspect of her pieces. Thanks for sharing this link.
I'm still working through ideas I put on my list years ago, so I am avoiding Pinterest at all costs (even though it does look very cool).

Yeah, I love the earthiness too and how they eerily evoke an emotional response while treading the the thin line of seeming live and lifeless all at the same time.

Staying away from Pinterest is probably a good idea! It's very addicting and time consuming. Luckily I tend to visit mostly when I need a break and am feeling mindless. Zoe was teasing me the other day for liking to look at all of the "pretty pictures".
