I decided to take a break today from trying to decipher the mysteries of histograms, white balance, and the unattainable sharp, crystal clear, creatively exposed, photograph and spend the day doing what I do best; sticking crap together. Because we have wood floors, wood cabinetry, and mostly log walls there are only a few little pockets throughout the house that lend themselves to color. In the kitchen we have a 2'x 5' patch of drywall that I've been putting off mosaicing for far too long.
So today I smashed some old chipped plates, mixed up some thin-set (well actually Larry mixed the thin-set) and got to work.
It still needs washing and grouting but I'm liking it pretty well.
Tomorrow I'm back to wrestling with my camera unless I can find something else to glue junk to.
